Homemade Pesto

1 tsp sea salt
1/4 cup olive oil
8 oz basil leaves
1/4 cup pine nuts

black pepper, to taste

1. heat small pan to about medium heat
2. toss in your pine nuts
3. keep your eye on them because they brown quickly
4. give or take about 2-3 minutes for them to toast
5. add your basil, pine nuts, and oil to your food processor
6. pulse the ingredients until smooth
7. add your salt and pepper
8. mix by hand till the flavor is just right
9. pour into small glass mason jar
10. store for use in the refrigerator

can be used for up to 10 great dishes or maybe even more
